Digital Board with Jamboard
Hello again, friends!
I want to start today's article with a question.
Have you ever thought of using digital whiteboard before?
It is the most basic feature of learning, I know. If you still have such question in your mind, then I have the answer for you. Let me introduce you to...
Jamboard
I know that it doesn't seem to be the most interesting tool you can find on the internet. However, Jamboard can provide you with a digital whiteboard. You can simply open https://jamboard.google.com/ to see your already made or used Jamboard.
"It seems useful, how can I use it?"
To use this digital whiteboard, you can use the link I've provided above. However, if you want to make a new one, you can follow these steps.
1. Open your google drive account
On your google drive screen, you can find these options on the left part of your screen. I apologize that mine is in Indonesian. You can press "Baru" or "More" to create a new document. Then, you choose "more". Lastly, press "google Jamboard".
2. Make your Jamboard
3. Publish your Jamboard
On the same screen, you can press the big blue button on the right side of your screen. Then, you can change your sharing settings accordingly there. Lastly, give the link you've acquired from there to your students.
"This is the simplest one you've shared, there is a catch, right?"
If that's your thought, the answer is yes.
Pros
1. Good for collaboration between students.
2. It is interactive due to the many features (the options on the left screen in the Jamboard).
3. You don't need to erase the entire page if you want to create another material, just add more page.
Cons
1. You can't put any external sources, except for written link.
2. The size and font can be rather inconsistent between students.
3. It is rather hard to use if you don't have touch screen.
Nice one, Kusav! You used short paragraphs, and break up the text with some interesting visuals such as images. There are no grammatical errors and the choice of words is also easy to understand. You managed to impart the steps on how to use the jam board and its pros and cons. Keep it up!
